Semana Santa en Jerez de la Frontera
Of deep-rooted tradition and great beauty this celebration represents the culmination of popular religious feeling and is probably the event which the people of Jerez are most intensely involved in. As an act of penitence thirty-two religious brotherhoods take part in processions around the incomparable setting of the old part of the town, competion with the beauty of the statues they bear. Holy Week in Jerez has been declared of National Touristic Interest.
